The lab behind the course

Hi, I'm Jose.
I grow  and I teach.

I've spent over a decade cloning exotic plants in Puerto Rico — from Musa obtained through the USDA to anthuriums, alocasias, monsteras and philodendrons — and I built Joe's Exotic Lab to teach you to do it at home, with no expensive lab.

01 · Story

From importing plants to cloning them myself.

Joe's Exotic Plants was born from a conviction: tissue culture techniques shouldn't be limited to large labs or academic institutions. Any disciplined person with the right knowledge can do it successfully at home.

I started by importing and propagating plants the traditional way, but it was slow and expensive. Tissue culture changed everything — and I realized almost all the good material was locked behind pricey labs. So I teach the practical version: what you actually need to do this at home.

We work with internationally renowned suppliers like Plant Cell Technology and maintain protocols aligned with industry standards.
